Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on August 20th, 1974 in Aviano Italy). American actress. She is known for her role as naive charming characters. Adams is born in Italy and her father was with the U.S. military and she lived within Castle Rock Colorado as one of seven children. The mid-1990s saw her begin professional dancing and performed at Boulder's Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to the regional theater in Minnesota in which she was featured in a mock documentary film concerning beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). She moved into Los Angeles after making her debut in the screen with the snarky but good-natured contestant. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and began her career in film in the late 1940s. Through the 1960s, Leigh appeared in films that were popular, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
