April Lockhart
April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started with guitar and piano in the 7th grade, which ignited her interest. The first song she wrote was called Different, which she wrote when she was 12 years old. As April approached 14 years old, she spent long hours creating song ideas as well as perfecting the song. After a while, she began traveling with her father and write in NY or LA. April also began to include different topics related to some of her peers who are dealing with issues such as social pressure and teen suicide in the song"Take" my Hand. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer as well as working in partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia she has gained her own following. Born without a left hand, she is an important part of her. It's however not her entire story. Lockhart's Instagram page doesn't overlook the fact that she has a disability. However, it doesn't make it a point to emphasize her disability. What message is it sending? This is the message: We all have many identities, we're way more diverse than we think we are. I do not want this to define me I don't want to be a disability influencer where that's all I discuss because there are other aspects to me Lockhart speaks via video from her residence in Nashville. It doesn't impact my daily routine. I carry on the same way as I always do and have developed my own ways to adapt. Because it's part of who I am It's a topic worth talking about. Her journey to self-acceptance is one that can last an entire lifetime. She is an inspiration with regard to this. Even so, Lockhart admits to going through periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance and wearing clothing with arms. Today, she wears anything she'd like. She also posts pictures on social networks. Self-love she said is like a journey. "I believe that you will ever be there," she said. It's a journey, I don't think you ever get there. It's my opinion that having those close to you who truly know you and see your feelings is crucial as they'll be the ones who will remind you what you worried about?
